Artist Alazar Samuel

For those of you who don’t remember Alazar, here he is. He looks & sounds exactly the way I remember him (sorry for the video’s yeTiraat guDilet). His acting, however, didn’t impress me as much as I thought it would. Maybe it wasn’t such a great role to play or he is more of a stage actor.

Abesheet thanks for the pictures I was happy to see Alazar after so long. BTW even if he was given a great role to play, he is a stage actor and will not do well on cinima roles. I guess its a different thing. its not only Alazar most of our artists were stage actors. the ones who come even close to acting better are few. Fekadu Teklemariam, the late Sirak Tadesse were a bit better.
    hey thanks πŸ™‚

I agree with you, abesheet. Alazar had the `look` for a great actor. I hope he’d get the chance to use his full potential.TV drama don’t sound a place for a great comeback.

I just saw a relatively recent Ethiopian Film “eTa fenta” and Alazar plays a minor role there. The role is too small to say anything about his acting prowess, his voice is impressive though. I don’t know about him at all, perhaps I have been away too long.

When I watching him on movies, drama and theater Im speechless to say anything about his acting power. But above all I would like one day to read the book written by him.
