In the beginning..

…before My e-Shoe Box was conceived, there was angelfire, give or take 2001, then the less html-based and more sophisticated, Your World & Me. It debuted on April 05, 2005; with a paragraph.. something about the smell of a “Woyala’s” shoe reminding someone or other of sex. (MY flirtation with the internet begun with a little weblog with angel fire, which had long ago been discontinued). Come December 2006, all blogspot blogs were banned in Ethiopia. First came the disbelief, then the anger, followed by depression, followed by glimpses of hope while ip addresses after ip addresses who managed to break into the iron curtain kept being handled by Chinese experts, followed by despair. A few months after, i discovered wordpress. Been stationed here for the last 4 years. If you, however, wanna see what your world and mine was like back then.. pray —receed.
